Rules and policies
A 3-night holiday reservation is mandatory, and a 2-night minimum is required for weekend reservations.
A deposit of one night's value (including taxes) is required for stays of one to 6 nights, and 25% (including taxes) of the total amount for stays of 6 nights or more.
Pets
- Pets must always be kept on a leash and must not disturb the neighborhood.
- You must pick up after them at all times.
- Pets are prohibited in all public areas such as swimming pools, recreation rooms, convenience stores, parks and playgrounds.
- Pets must be supervised at all times, and must not be left alone for any length of time in your trailer, to avoid barking that could disturb the peace and quiet of the premises. The owner and his pet may be expelled without notice if these conditions are not respected. This is your responsibility.
- Please note that when renting a ready-to-camp unit (glamp, cottage or trailer), pets are strictly forbidden;
Trees
- You must protect flora, nature and the environment. It is forbidden to cut, prune, bark, nail or damage trees on the campground or in the surrounding woodlands.
- The installation of lights on trees or any other object is prohibited.
Water consumption
- Our water is potable, but it is forbidden to water lawns or wash vehicles.
Curfew
- All noise must cease by 11 pm. However, it is permitted to watch over the fire by whispering.
Automatic gate
- When you arrive, please do not block the reception gate with your vehicle. You can park your vehicle on the right-hand side or in the large parking area provided.
- It is forbidden to lend your magnetic card or to open the barrier to a friend.
- If you do, your magnetic card will be confiscated and you could be expelled.
- Please remember to hand in your access card when you leave (even if you are seasonal or in storage). A $20 fee will be charged for lost cards;
Bicycles
Bicycles are permitted until 8:30 pm. Bicycle users must wear a helmet and respect the 8 km/h speed limit. Bicycles are prohibited at the pool, recreation hall, convenience store, parks and playgrounds. For safety reasons, bicycles are not allowed on the campground after dark. Anyone riding a bicycle in spite of this prohibition is putting his or her life at risk. Camping St-André-Avellin, its owners and staff will not be held responsible in the event of an incident.
Wood, fireplaces and campfires
Wood is available at the convenience store ($).
Campfires must pose no danger to trees or other people's equipment.
Make sure the fire is well extinguished before retiring for the night.
You are entirely responsible for any damage caused by your fires.
Laundry
- For reasons of hygiene, the washing and drying of carpets, linens or pet supplies is not permitted.
- Clotheslines and racks are permitted, but must be used discreetly.
Traffic
The speed limit for all vehicles is 8 km/h. After a warning, any camper who fails to comply with the 8 km/h speed limit must leave his or her vehicle in the parking lot outside the campground or may be expelled without refund.
Everyone's safety is our priority.
Business
- All businesses are prohibited on the campground.
- Garage sales will not be tolerated.
Consumption of alcohol or drugs
- Alcohol must be consumed on your campsite only.
- Any consumption of drugs is prohibited and will result in immediate expulsion, without refund.
Water, electricity and the environment
- Any anomaly concerning water, sewage or electricity must be reported to the campsite staff at reception or to the convenience store;
- The use of an air conditioner is accepted for campers who have electrical service. In order to manage supply and demand, we ask you to keep its use to a minimum and to turn it off when you're away;
- If you blow your circuit breaker, first make sure that the number of appliances connected is reasonable;
- Pruning must be carried out by campground owners only.
Children
- Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians at all times, even in the presence of a lifeguard and/or activity leader.
- Children must also be polite to our staff at all times.
Fireworks
- Strictly forbidden by municipal by-law.
Law 25
Our employees undertake to exercise discretion at all times, in accordance with Law 25. They will never divulge a customer's personal information, such as lot number, address, e-mail, telephone number or any other confidential data. Visitors must contact their hosts in advance to find out their location number. Due to law 25, our employees cannot divulge this information. Please be informed as soon as you arrive. Thank you for your cooperation.

Tobacco law in Quebec
- Smoking and vaping tobacco are prohibited in playgrounds, inside establishments and within 9 meters of any door, air intake or window that opens.
- Cannabis smoking and vaping are prohibited inside and outside the facilities, in play areas and within 9 meters of these areas.
- Cannabis is forbidden on the entire site;
- Never throw a cigarette butt on the ground. We recommend that you dispose of them in a special container that you can carry with you.
Politeness
- Any person who makes verbal or physical threats towards another camper and/or an employee of Camping St-André-Avellin will face immediate expulsion without reimbursement and without appeal.
- The management of Camping St-André-Avellin reserves the right to expel any tenant or visitor who does not respect the regulations, without refund.
- Zero tolerance: This site is respectful of all. No aggressive behavior, whether physical or verbal, and no inappropriate remarks will be tolerated on this campground.
- We ask you to act with respect, civility and courtesy at all times with everyone on pain of expulsion.
Refund policy
- Less than 7 days prior to arrival (before midnight): non-refundable deposit
- More than 7 days before arrival date: deposit refundable
- It is not possible to resell a reservation (change the name of the person responsible for the reservation).
- It will not be possible to transfer to a future reservation.
Example: If you have a reservation for the weekend of June 27, 2025, you must submit a cancellation request by midnight on June 19, 2025 in order to obtain a refund. From June 20, 2025, it will unfortunately be too late.
Please note that for sites requiring a minimum reservation of 4 days (or 28 days), it is not possible to reduce the duration once the reservation has been made. These sites must be reserved for the specified number of days. You therefore have three options if this does not suit you...
- maintain the reservation for 4 days, even if you only use 3
- choose another site that does not require this restriction
- cancel the reservation completely in order to free up the site
Cleanliness and waste
- You are responsible for keeping your site/rental clean at all times.
- We kindly ask you to deposit your garbage bags in the “containers” in the large parking lot when you leave the campground, and to use the recycling bins for this purpose.
- It is strictly forbidden to deposit scrap metal, rocks, branches, grass, cigarettes or fireplace ashes in the waste container.
- To keep our campsite clean and beautiful, please dispose of cigarette butts in the designated areas and not on the ground. Thank you for contributing to a cigarette-butt-free environment.
River
- The current of the Petite-Nation River can be unpredictable due to a dam.
- Before venturing out with our boats, we ask you to check with our staff (at reception) to determine whether the river flow is safe.
- No children are allowed around the river without an adult present.
Picnic tables and chairs
- One picnic table is provided per site.
- Tables and chairs may not be transported from one site to another.
Visitors
- Visitors must report immediately to reception to pay their entrance fee and any associated charges.
- Visitors must leave the site by 10.30pm, after which time charges may apply;
- Visitors are responsible for their belongings and must respect the rules at all times.
- Visitors' vehicles must be parked in the large parking lot at the site entrance to avoid unnecessary movement on the site and reduce danger and noise.
Golf carts
- Electric golf carts are not permitted on the campground.
